What a strange person you are. If you read my first post I said I have my Aga serviced every year, I didn't say that I serviced it. I use a local Gas Safe engineer who has not been specifically trained on Aga's so I'm simply trying to find out if that particular part is serviceable or not...

You obviously didn't read my posts properly - I have no intention of attempting any gas work myself. I am trying to find out as much information as I can about that particular Teddington valve before I contact the Gas Safe engineer who regularly services my Aga.

So, are you saying that particular item is serviceable? The reason I asked the question is that if that Teddington TDH is not serviceable, then I will have to have the complete burner unit replaced at a cost of approx. £750 + delivery + fitting, so probably about £1,000.

The washing m/c and dishwasher are supplied from a plastic 'y' piece that doesn't have a valve on it. The 'y' piece and hoses are squeezed between a wall and the washing machine and are not accessible without taking out the washing m/c. There is a service valve before the 'y' piece but...

There is a service valve but it also cuts off the kitchen cold tap and washing machine. I was hoping to turn it off to allow fitting blanking plug and then back on again. The supply end of the dishwasher hose is very difficult to get at.

Well the WD40 seems to have done the trick !! Have moved the whole door up by about 2mm and horizontally by about 2mm at the bottom and 1mm at the top and in between in the middle. The door is now latching and closing perfectly. Thank you both for your help. If it does move again in...

Yes there is a large flat window above the bay. It's about a foot narrower than the bay on each side and I have checked that it is properly sealed with silicone all round. Is there anything else I should check here? Thank you.
