Is there an easy way to remove the grout between tiles in my shower? I bought a high tensile steel tool, but the sharp end mounted in rubber keeps falling out if I put any real pressure on it?

Just replacing an existing glassfibre shower tray which had developed a crack, and leaked. The support was the five legs provided, i.e. each corner and one in the middle. Is there a benefit if I provide more support under the 'U' shapes piece of wood to prevent future cracking? I am over 15...

I am not planning to keep the old shower tray, but neither am I sure what it is made off? It could be fibreglass, as there is some evidence underneath that this is the case! I am trying to avoid the mess associated with cutting through it!
