hello was wondering what you thought of having one overflow serving f/e & cold storage tanks i see it all time and just wondered if it was acceptable as both tanks are unlikely to fail together. also lately seen a few newbuilds with no overflow atall :shock:

the tap stat is the cylinder temp controll and the gate valve to restrict flow through cyl :wink: wow the penny drops

i know what a gate valve is but but wasnt sure what he meant when he said tapstat and gatevalve is a tapstat a pipestat?

thanks guys hope your right mickey i have emailed them and will ring tomorrow and i must go through and have a very thurough look over system. any tips on what i need to look out for this is the first elson tank i have come accross, i have read about them in theory but theyre quite different...

also what is the minimum i must do to the installation as i havent checked the installation over thuroughly yet i suspect its gravity hot water. would it be possible to do a streight swap?

hi all i have come accross an elson tank leaking in a customers home and customer wants me to price up for a direct replacement, trouble is i cant find a direct replacement, this is 550 wide x 570high square measured from outer box he thinks its been in since 1980ish any ideas?

a relative has asked me to move a cylinder from the airing cupboard to attic, theres no rads just warm air heating. the cylinder and warm air heating are being powered by a warm airheater upon inspection i can only find 1 tank in attic would this be a primatic cylinder?? or havei missed somthing?

a 2bar shower pump i have just bought for a job has 15mm connections inlet and outlet, is this ok as i thought they would need to be 22mm especially the inlet side
