    Sounds like the plaster needs to be redone in lime or a similar breathable plaster ,i didn't realise it had been done in bonding ,that is the problem .If you want to sort it cheaper then wickes one coat is quite good and seems to breath well on old walls .Not sure how long it lasts though .

    I would not expect it to be anything to do with the plastering if it didn't appear until 3 months later .There must be somewhere it is getting in ,it doesn't need much for water to get in and once it's found it's path will just get worse . Have you tried a dehumidifier in there to dry it out...

    That will be the one on the front of the boiler won't it ? It went up to 3 bar again overnight ,tonight just to make sure i will drain it down to 1.2 bar and then turn the water off and see if it goes up .

    Right i have checked the valve and its ok ,checked the pipe leading to the vessel and that is ok so i ran the heating with the mains turned off and the pressure didn't move .I now have the heating on with the mains on and after 45 mins the gauge is creeping up . So i guess this is pointing to...

    If you do have to patch it i find its easier to just use sand and cement render and then make it look like terolene with a small stiff brush patting the surface to make the look of the terolene

    Yes i suppose i will just have to keep wetting it ,i have waterproofer in the scratch coat its just the sun and wind i think drying it out ,just wasnt sure if there was anything else i might have forgotten

    Your mix is too strong ,the scratch coat i normally do at 4-1 and then 5-1 for the top coat ,the top coat being stronger than the scratch coat is what is causing your problem
