Hand tightened but got a little weep, used silicone on the seals and plumbers mait round the threads, someone mentioned a waste kit from B+Q with no need to use silicone. Thanks again for your help

I am concerned about bashing the bath with a lump / Sledge hammer knowing that I have a brand new ceiling in the room below.

I need to remove a cast iron bath without damaging tiles, would it be possible to angle grind along back and side edges to release bath from walls, remove bath and grind away fixings. Thanks guys.
