odd waste pipe size ikea sink

Just had the same issue. I begrudgingly used a rubber coupler to take us down from the odd IKEA. Seems to be working though I'm not overly happy with it!

    Plumbing a cast iron radiator

Well I fitted two of them. We love the look of them, I'll try and get a few photos when we have decorated fully. I spent a good amount of time flushing them out. For those talking about them being inefficient, I don't know if I agree. They bellow out the heat and once the heating has turned off...

    Plumbing a cast iron radiator

Evening all! I've recently bought a few nice (in my opinion!) cast iron radiators and would like to plumb them in using preferably a large fitting and large pipe feeding 28mm or 22 at bare minimum. Ive attached a photo of the fitting which appears to be 1.25" but finding a suitable valve and...

Zone Valve - Humidistat - Worcester combi?

Thanks Dan, some good ideas there. As for upheaval the house is currently under a massive makeover so at the moment all pipes are exposed from the room below. No scope for a window as it's on the middle floor of a 3 story victorian semi and the only wall that isn't a stud wall is the...

Re Fixing Dot and Dabbed Plasterboard?

Sunday afternoon....so well dry now, I know it probably hasn't actually adhered the plasterboard back to the thermoshite but it's probably pushed it up against the skirting/staircase. Will do for me!

Re Fixing Dot and Dabbed Plasterboard?

What is the best way to go about re fixing plasterboard that has become loose? Literally every piece in my hallway up the side of my stairs has become loose since I pulled the handrail off to fit a new one. I was thinking maybe drilling holes at intervals and filling with expanding foam...any...

    Worcester Greenstar 25Si DHW Problem....(Combi)

Hi, just after a few ideas before I call out the dreaded plumber or if it is something that I can change myself? My boiler seems to have done this now and then since installation but very infrequently now it is doing it almost if not every time there is a demand for hot water. When you...

    Toilet Poor Flush

Have you tried taking the lid of the cistern and trying to flush? Is it then any better? Two blobs of sealant in the corner helps mine, some how the ceramic lid seals and you dont get any air in there.

Installing Under Sink Water Heater - Unvented?

9' of pipe between nearest cold water draw off and the heater? Is this right and why? <---will make it a nightmare to fit as the nearest cold water draw off is about 3' away. Is that instead of a expansion vessel? I could make a maze of copper under the sink  If water pressure...

Hi, I've managed to lay my hands on a Zip aquapoint II water heater that I want to install in my garage under the sink, the installation notes I have come across mention various valves.....The installation that it was in previously had nothing apart from a service valve. I'm tempted to bang...
