Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

Just thought I would show what I was up against by the attached pics.Cloakroom is to right of bay and kitchen is in middle. It was blocked solid to the right of bay and took some shifting with cables wires etc. Apart from that it was doddle and rubber grommet is hardly noticeable.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

Insert 1.5 metre rod through the hole and clear in both directions. No more holes were needed. It worked perfectly.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

All I intend to do is drill small hole in an existing plastic pipe and put a rubber plug in the hole. What's odd about that.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

Bit reluctant to be honest, thinking of the wildlife and that sort of stuff.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

Tried it, didn't work.I seem to recall same thing happened a few years ago and wet vac sucked it out then. Not this time though, probably a touch of flu

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

After many kettles of boiling water down the kitchen waste there is no improvement in the cloakroom drain. Clearly the build up in the blockage is on the side of the junction where it meets the cloakroom waste. The other side which goes to the open drain is cleared naturally by the more used...

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

I totally agree with you and I have have put loads of boiling water down the waste. On reflection I have been putting the boiling water down the cloakroom waste, when maybe it should be down the kitchen waste. I will try again and let you know the outcome.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

I did consider that ,but how do I get a section of pipe in that is longer than what I have removed, when there is no give in the existing pipe because of internal and external angles.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

The pipe in question is only taking water from a small cloakroom handbasin, so the waste pipe, unblocked will never get completely full to the top.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

Just remeasured , it's 50 mm dia, is that ok? I think I may have found a simple solution to my particular problem. I intend to drill a 20 mm hole on the top of the waste pipe half way along which will allow me to rod in both directions. If this is successful I will then seal the hole with a...

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

It will drain the full cloakroom sink if left for half an hour, but if you let it empty and then immediately try and empty another full sink it backs right up. I suspect this is the full amount in the drain pipe.

Blocked 7 metres long kitchen sink drain

The cloakroom sink drain which is blocked goes round 4 corners and meets the kitchen sink drain half way along. Kitchen sink drain empties without any problem. I have tried everything, rodded, but can only get about 3 meters due to various bends, boiling water , high pressure jetting, all to no...

Vertical Icicle, is this for real.

But how does it happen? We have stalagmites and stalactites which is understandable, but these! They have no name, anybody any idea. I think upcicles sounds right.

Vertical Icicle, is this for real.

Yes it does look like that, but it's true, apparently, it's a phenomena which is very rare, and from what I've read scientists have tried to replicate it but can't. It was in the bird bath of my garden last Saturday morning after a very severe overnight frost. I've taken loads of pics and...
