consider removing the grass completely underneath or covering it with a weed barrier will prevent grass coming through and weeds. Remember to create a drainage system under the area so it doesnt flood.

The images of the birds and animals affected are pretty awful....lets hope something gets resolved and they learn from this.

Take it to another local spray painting garage / workshop and get their opinion then when you go back and tell them what a load of **** they are talking you have another professional opinion to back you up. :)
