    Renault Trafic Won't Start

It's not possible to by-pass the immobiliser system without a major rewire. However, it is possible to plug a diagnostic type laptop into some vehicles which will disable the immobiliser circuits. Not sure if your Movano of Trafic is suitable for this. You would have to ask an expert locksmith...

    Locking Wheel Nuts

Most cars come with alloy wheels as standard now, so very rarely get nicked. I've taken the locking wheel nuts off my car, even though I'm a mechanic and know how to tighten these correctly. Theives will usually be after the tyres, rather than the wheels themselves. If they want just one...

    cooling fan diahatsu hijet

Look underneath, and on the bottom of the radiator you will see the fan control switch. Pull the 2 wires off and join them together, switch on the ignition and the fan should run. If it does, it's the fan switch, if it doesn't, it's either an electrical problem (fuse etc.), or the coolant is not...

What do you think about Volvo cars in general?

I've got a Volvo S40 Sport on a 'Y' reg. It's only done 41,000 miles. Although it's a great car, the seats are very low with it being a Sport, and some people struggle to get in and out.

    My Vivaro just stopped

The most common fault on these is the fuel pressure sensor, which is located on the fuel rail. Unfortunately, the sensor comes as part of the fuel rail and costs about £120. It's hard to give a definitive answer to your problem as the non start could be caused by a number of different things...

Sorry John, I thought the discs were fitted before you bought the car, and I was just offering an opinion. I would expext nothing less than quality workmanship if the discs were fitted by yourself.

Low Pressure Fuel Pump replaced but...

Some diagnostic equipment will read fuel pump pressure in 'live data'. There are other causes of the engine failing to rev, such as a faulty air mass meter or blocked exhaust system for example. I still think it down to your low pressure pump though, and the RAC man was correct, this is a...

    Wheel balancing problem.

John, you say that the vehicle has been fitted with new discs ?. If the hubs were not thoroughly cleaned before the discs were fitted, this can cause your vibration. The fault is almost certainly an imbalance in the hubs etc. You need to have the wheels balanced on the vehicle. There must be...

    Starting problem

Always make sure that you have AT LEAST a quarter of a tank full of diesel. If the gauge is towards the red, then your diesel will be contaminated with the water that sits in the bottom of the tank. As a diesel engine requires highly volatile fuel to start, watering this down is not good !

Corsa C running lean and rough

If you were able to pull off one plug lead while the engine was running, this would put your O2 sensor outside it's parameters causing the M.I.L light to come on, but this could lead you to think that it's a sensor fault (do you understand what I'm getting at ?? - you're looking at the...
