replaced boiler CH now barely warm

I said if, it's connected properly not bodged by some chancer thats trying to generate more work. And why would you want a by-pass, a one pipe loop is an open circuit, all the way around the property and back to the boiler.

replaced boiler CH now barely warm

Whatever it won't be anything to do with the one pipe system, if the boiler was connected correctly it will work just as well as the previous boiler. More likely he's fitted a rubbish boiler that isn't compatible or not set the parameters correctly.

it's a trap to keep the smell out for a WC normally but has other uses. Used when the overflow pipe is connected to a soil or waste pipe. To stop it leaking repair the toilet should do the trick

    How does boiler interlock work?

You also size the radiators to suit each room. Anyway if you have the money look at the Honeywell EVO home, a brilliant design whereas each TRV controls the room temperature and the boiler

    Question re Intergas/Atmos Combi

The difference being a cylinder heats up when you not waiting for a bath, whereas a bath can take 10-15mins to run. For a hard water area I would definitely go with Intergas and a Hyrdoflow 38 scale preventer.

    Question re Intergas/Atmos Combi

Run a normal bath, then measure how much water you used. Next consider an average combi say 12 Ltrs/min and work out how long it will take to fill the bath

    WORRIED ABOUT BOILER BEING CONDEMNED!

Come on Richard the 3rd, ask Olive Puller for her opinion. Clearly reading between the lines, the odd job man has made a right pigs ear of it, and the OP wants an idea how much it's gonna cost.

Damn and I always thought you charged what you could get away with   Is there a good reason why London would be say twice as much as Colchester, or the North would be considerably cheaper than the south.
