Thanks that is a good point. I had not allowed for the boiler capacity so I am right on the limit. So it looks like another exp vessel. Where be th best place to put it? The boiler is in a boiler room.

The exp vessel pressure is still 1 bar so I think it is OK. It was new a year ago.

I checked the exp vessel pressure and it was 0.95bar. The system pressure was low again. I filled it to a preesure of 1 bar and fired the boiler. The pressure went up to 2bar+ and the PRV vented. It seems that there is not enough capacity to cope with the expansion of the fluid. Should...

Hi I have a Grant vortex 26 combi oil boiler. It is about 5 yrs old and has a couple of issues. 1. It doesn't seem to hold its pressure. I pressurise the system to 1bar but in a couple of days it reduces to almost zero but not low enough to trip the LP switch. There is a discharge from...
