Thanks Noseall. I have a another question regarding the internal wall (blocks), i don't have a trench dug for it but the BCO mentioned i had to lay a thicker concrete slab for it (when i get to put up the internal wall). My question is do i dig a shallowish trench for the internal wall...

How many mm below dpc should i backfill? My footings are 1m deep and 600mm wide. Is it best to have 2blocks + 1 brick inner and 7 engineering bricks on outer?

Thanks Red, I've got planning permission + given in a building notice, nothing has been been agreed as such re the drains. But i defo will run it through with him on his visit. Thanks for the help anyhow, very much appreciated.

Of course i'll definatley discuss with BCO. You have me on the toilet WC rodding :? I have no idea is the answer to that. The only IC is at the front of the house, and this WC would be 3m behind it. again sorry if this sounds a little dumb, but are you saying i need to have a IC behind...

Thanks Red, 3m away from manhole is going to be a wc, and further 4m off that is the 7m point where the kitchen sink will be. Its all straight hence rodding wont be a problem. If this set up is allowed its not going to yield any foul smell in the kitchen or in the garden through the gully...

Noseall, i've been given permission to build extension to rear of the house. there is currently a garage which i will be cutting in to. More than half of the garage will still be left that i'd like to turn into a conservatory. its been there for more than 10years, reasoning i may not need...
