    Heavy Duty Fixings Advice

Sorry. Wrong terminology. The shelf is 900mm long, 225mm wide and 35mm deep, therfore it sticks out 225mm from the wall.

    Heavy Duty Fixings Advice

I'm looking for recommendations for long fixings of 100mm plus. I'm trying to put up 900mm wide scaffold shelves using brackets same as ones in photo. Have done successfully around flat until trying on a external wall next to deep window bay. I went in 80mm before hitting anything remotely...

Toyota Aygo indicator lever and lamps partly not working

I've an 11 plate Aygo. The indicator lamp and dashboard light don't work when the lever is pressed to indicate left. They both work if the lever is partially moved and held, but not when fully pressed. Everything is fine on the right side. I don't know if this is relevant, but the first time I...

How to connect 68mm plastic downpipe to 100mm clay drainage pipe

Thanks. I definitely need something with a solid fit into the pipe. It's probably difficult to see in the photos, but the clay pipe appears to have a broader rim that won't allow for something to fit over it.

How to connect 68mm plastic downpipe to 100mm clay drainage pipe

Does the plastic adaptor just push into the clay pipe without anything else to hold it in place? I wondered if it needs to be secured with a sealant.

How to connect 68mm plastic downpipe to 100mm clay drainage pipe

I'm looking for suggestions for neatly connecting a 68mm plastic rainwater downpipe into a 100mm clay underground drainage pipe, ideally so it's easily accessible for rodding. The 68mm pipe is currently just sitting inside the 100mm pipe with a cement cover. See attached photos. It's hard to see...

Radiators cooler (not cold) at bottom

The four largest radiators on my system are always cooler at the bottom. Not cold though. There's just a noticeable difference in temperature when touched. I've not got any device to measure the difference. These are 1600x600 double panels in the hall and downstairs rooms. All of the smaller...

    Lights wired to socket

This sounds like it's grown from one dodgy light wiring to a full blown investigation and potential consumer box replacement, plus whatever else is found to be non-compliant.

    Lights wired to socket

There's no slack on the wiring for me to check the pvc sheath, but it looks like one cable is smaller. There's no slack on the cables in the light switch either. I think it's 1.5mm T&E in the light , and 1 x 1.5mm an 1 x 2.5mm in the socket. See photos. Turning of that 32A breaker switches off...
