    Hi looking at the installation instructions for one of these it states that the inhibitor should be placed before the Boiler. Is there any reason it cant be installed (or has anyone tried this) just after the main stop cock therefore protecting all the plumbing from lime-scale? Thanks :-)

    also another quick question. to join two celling joists together over a wall plate at the middle, would it be best to over lap them by a certain amount and bolt them together with another piece as a packer so they are either side of the rafters at the eaves? thanks again

    I have a pitch roof of 20deg and a span of 2.7m. I have used C24 150x50 for rafters and celling joists. (The roof runs down the existing house wall then a small ridge meets two hips.) Do i need to put noggins between rafters and between joists? if so do they need to be 150x50? i obviously...

    thanks any idea if it ok to use a 25x200 ridge board as a hip and butt rafters to it. it works out to be 3.9m long? if so i assume i would have to brace it or do i need to use 50x200 graded?

    i am building a roof with two hips. i have got to the 1st hip and i have a choice but i need help. if i put the hipboard from the last rafter (at the ridge) to the corner of the wall it will make an angle of 44deg and therefore the jackrafters on the other side of the hipboard wont line up...
