Swap bathroom fan with timer for fan with timer and humidistat

Hopefully a simple question ….. Currently I have a fan with a timer that works off the light pull cord. I want a fan with a timer and humidistat where the fan goes on with the light and off with the timer (same as it does now) and also on and off driven by the humidistat. Can I simply swap the...

    Goblin Bagless Vacuum Suction

Hi any idea what this part is and what it’s function is? It sits inside the lid of the dust collector. The vacuum works fine until I put the dust collector on which increases the suction making it almost impossible to push! All looks ok but thought the part in the photo may have something to do...

    Bathroom Extractor Wiring

Hi thanks for the replies. It is a timer fan and I have just tried it and it went off after 25 mins. Based on this I can only assume that the sparky didn’t test the timer based on muffking’s reply. Does that make sense?

Joining 2.5mm 3 core under floorboards (inaccessable)

Hi, could you please advise me? I am moving a partition wall and need to move a socket (that is a spur) to allow this. This involves extending the spur by means of a junction box under the floorboards which will be inaccessible once the wall is moved. I went my local electrical wholesaler who...

    Warmer Drawer Installation

Hi I am in the process in installing a warmer drawer. It comes with moulded plug. My plan was to wire a socket off a junction box That sits on top of the kitchen cupboard out of site. However the installation instructions say “the appliance must be connected to a earthing socket”. Does this mean...
