How do I cut a 45 degree internal mitre?

Thanks for the info bud, but no, I cant grasp what you describe. Its one of those things you need to be shown really. No worries as I will get someone in to finish it off and show me how its done! I hated woodwork when I was at school, and I hate it now. Thanks again for your help.

How do I cut a 45 degree internal mitre?

I am in the process of re-instating picture rail into a downstairs room. However, between the two walls there is a "flat" and an angle of 45 degrees. I cannot figure out how to cut correctly. I have done pretty well with the 90s and externals round the c/breast, but this small angle and then...

    Most unreliable cars?

A few years ago I bought a ten year old megane. Nothing but electrical and numerous niggling faults that seemed never ending. The eight month relationship with it was a good learning curve. A guy up the road from me has an eighteen year old Volvo 940 estate he had since 1997 with just over 400...

    Which chemical paint stripper ?

At the moment I am using Blackfriars paint and varnish remover on my staircase/panelling/spindles. Its just like the old nitromors stuff, stinks, burns skin etc, but actually works, unlike the modern green nitromors.

    Vermin advice please!

Possibly a rat, as they are very good climbers and experts at getting up and down drainpipes. Put a good dose of poison down, as rats are very hardy and a small dose they will easily survive, then becoming immune to that particular poison.

    smoke coming into bedroom

Being a house built in the '50s, I would have thought a firebreak between lofts would have been par for the course, but just have a look in the loft to make sure it is still in place. Smells from next door could be coming from that area and into your house.

If you paint it with that high temperature matt black stove paint, then use a grate polish after it has cured, it gives you that gun metal finish that you mention. It worked for me.

Hi, my first post and question, and I would appreciate any advise on a very annoying problem I have with noise from the neighbours! Back in the summer, we bought a semi built just after the 1st WW, needing plenty of cosmetic work, but seeming like a nice little project for the next couple of...
