New kitchen worktop needs a join in centre of breakfast bar

Ive always found that darker worktops are easier to loose joins in and agree with your fitter that a patterned top will be better. Though no matter how good the join is, in the right light you will always see it. The only other option I can think of is you choose a solid surface such as...

If its a 'prestige' drawer box I can help, but by the sounds of it you bought the cheap and cheerful one and I dont know the exact measurements off the top of my head, sorry. Id suggest you offer it up in the hole and use some clever measuring. Or better yet, go into B&Q and see if you can...

Advice on flooring over my uneven floorbaords

If you *Carefully* screw down any loose floorboards beware of pipes and cables. Then screw down a good 9mm / 12mm ply at 300mm centres-no need for glue. You should be okay to do what you want with it then. Just make sure the screws you use to fix the ply down are no longer than the ply...

Wall Mounted Plasma Channelling Wires Do I Need Trunking?

Trunking will stop any problems with the filler reacting with the outer plastic sheathing on the cables. Personally, Id use some sort of large(as possible), flexible, trunking - and leave both ends accessible so I could add or remove cables as time goes on.

    Matt paint in bathroom bubbling

As per title, the matt paint that I STUPIDLY decorated the bathroom with has bubbles appearing (mainly on the ceiling) and inevitably started to peel away. Can I just peel the worst off, and Re-paint over the lot in a suitable bathroom paint to effectively 'Seal the walls' or is it not that...
