    yes there is no lintel but it is a hollow wall about 2ft that is plastered.I can see right through where the architrave was removed ,so just a few crumbling bits of plaster would come away.

    Hi thanks for the quick response ..My only concern is the above bit of the frame which seems not to be attached to anything above i.e any posts .This above piece is part of the frame. i will go an measure the frame and see what you guys think :lol:

    you can put wba on and skim after 2 hours, you could also leave it up there for 2 years and come back and skim it, dont worry about your skim going off if you have applied it right the walls will all be sealed , keyed and ready to go Thanks that's all i need to know..

    should i not put pva over the wba even though the wba will have been on for a good 4-5 days? will it cause a problem if i do ? there are 2 walls with wba on that need skimming.

    Hi just skimmed a couple of walls in bedroom..The first wall i did is not as good as i could have done (first time plastering lol) second wall has come out pretty good..Can i pva the first wall and do a re-skim ? does it matter or not if it is not fully dried out and do i have to wait for it to...
