So i was cooking and the oven gave off a loud dull bang with a really bright flash, which really shook up my wife and daughter. Luckily the oven door was shut. I tried to use the grill, but nothing, not even the light came on.
Upon inspection i found that the oven heating element had a hole in...
It just wont start. Put the load in, turn the dial to 90'. The start (pause) light flashes green and when I push the Start (pause) button the following lights light up but not solid lights, they are faded - gentle / clean filter / 3hr / 9hr / clean heat exchange. But then if I select 40' the the...
Ok, so where am I putting the washer. Do I have to take the drum off the bearing? Or do you mean the back of the dryer, where you remove the small cover?
I took the side panels off to remove all the fluff from inside the dryer and when ive put it back together, it makes a loud consistent noise, like something is catching when the drum is turning. But if I push down on the front of the machine, the noise stops. What's happened? Any help will be...
Ok, I've managed to get hold of a 2nd hand motor. My job for the weekend is to get it fitted, but it looks quite tricky.
Has anyone got any tips on were to start with removing the motor?
It would be much appreciated
The tear drop looks good, the shaft looks good. I've now noticed that with power off the motor does not turn 1 way by hand, the belt just slips round the metal motor shaft. With the power on the motor seizes completely and doesn't budge by hand at all. It looks like the motor do you think?
It does move left and right slightly but I wouldn't say its loose. I took the grey half moon cover off the dryer at the back to reveal the bearing and unscrewed it which then dropped the drum, I sprayed it with wd40. I wanted to take the drum out but it looks complicated to get the belt off. I...
I have had a look and all seems ok. The belt seems ok, no snag, the pulley turns. The dryer works for approx 10 minutes then the motor starts to make a whirring noise and it starts to struggle then stops, I can also hear screeching coming from somewhere, I think its the bearing, any more ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated. The problem is my dryer, when I start it it tries to spin then gives up, it doesn't budge an inch. When I try to turn it by hand its so difficult, I can barely move it. How can I check what has failed? Is it the bairings? Thanks
This dryer is driving me mad. First the capacitor, now this....
Its leaking from the front, under the condenser in the condenser compartment. When I take the metal condenser out there are small puddles of water, not many but after 2 runs, enough to cause a leak.
I have followed other posts and...
Hi, I have a CTD00 P condenser dryer. When I switch it on I just get a buzzing noise, and then nothing when the button is released. I have taken the side panel off and the sound is coming from the part behind the dial.
Before this I think there was a buzzing from near the motor also. But this...
I have the CTD40G condenser dryer which no longer heats. The board on which the elements were wrapped around has broken causing the elements to touch each other, leading to sparks and now no heat.
I have searched and found the part I need - C00260045 which is approx £50. I would hate to pay...
Just to let you know, my washer is fixed, thanks a lot, you've saved me a lot of cash. I cleaned up all the connectors on the main board, checked all was secure in the connector blocks and roughed up the brushes, the misses is very happy :)
