How to use centering holes on die handle

Regardless of size, you need to use oil, and ideally back off, otherwise there may be a good chance it will tear, more than it cuts, especially if its poor quality bar, and a cheapy die.

What bolt / screw do i use here ?

Myself, id drill through both and put a nice coach screw in, its only to stop it moving sideways i gather? If it really has to be fixed to the steel, you could drill and tap it, but thats hassle unless you have the stuff to do that. If youve got more welding to do up there later, just...

    URGENT!! Please Help.

You need a hammer, a small ball pein would be ideal, but not essential. You also need another hammer, or a reasonably heavy lump. Place the block on one side, and tap the other side. Dont get too carried away, once theyre tight you cant loosen them off easily.

    Packing a Steel on padstone

But the padstone is usually much stronger than mortar, and spreading over 4/5 time or more area than a steel bearing. Ive only ever fitted with steel shims. As for steel padstones, its quite popular to have a 300x100 flat (or bigger- depending on size of beam) to rest on, rather than...

Leaving air compressor full of air

Open the drain tap on the receiver  and drains at lowest points on pipework. I didnt mean draing the water, i was talking about the pressureised air. Applies to a regulator setup, having the regulator under contant pressure will reduce its accuracy over a long period of time...

Leaving air compressor full of air

Unless you have perfect pipes/fittings/valves, it will probably empty itself over a few days anyway. You should probably drain it down to prlong the life of the pressure gauge. I dont know anyone that bothers
