ANTS AROUND THE HOUSE JUST DO NOT GO AWAY !

Another one you could use is "crawling insect laquer". Its an aerosol which you spray onto the ground or any surface(interior). It stays active for 3 months, and kills anything that crawls on it. Once its been sprayed its invisible and dry.

    Dryline

Have a heart evdama,he was just an old man trying to survive. A lot of old people have no family or friends to help them and no money to pay tradesmen. Also with all the horror stories about rogue tradesmen ripping off pensioners he may have been too frightened to to hire someone. I feel that...

    bad smells from machine

If the washer is not connected to the sink waste, but has its own waste pipe which goes out through the wall check that this waste has a trap in it. Ive seen several without traps, which will allow foul smells from the drain to come up the pipe and into the machine.

6mm Cable sufficient for 10.8kW shower??

This reply is a bit late but worth mentioning. I fitted a Gainsborough 10.8kw shower 10 days ago.It was replacing an 8.5kw.According to the instruction leaflet 6mm cable was perfectly adequate as long as it did not exceed a length of 16meters and was not inside trunking or conduit. It also...

    no hot water

To check if its the Honewell valve You can operate it manually by pushing the little lever which is on the side of the valve, then hooking it in place. If you have a good look at it you will see what i mean.By doing this it will give you hot water and heating. If this works then you can replace the...

    Fixing crack in metal

The most sensible thing to do would be to have the expansoin vessel changed. If you have a good look you will see that it will be quiet straight forward to remove, perhaps by removing a side panel of the boiler, usually its pretty straight forward. If you try to seal it and it leaks again it might...

    shower mixer taps

It fits to both hot and cold pipes.Perhaps it would be more acurate to say hot and cold pipes run through it.It comes as a double unit, either 22+22mm, 22+15mm or 15+15mm.They are very efficient and have to meet relevant byelaws.(cant remember which byelaws and havent got my book to hand.)I...

    shower mixer taps

You can fit a pressure equalising valve to the pipes under the bath. This will reduce the pressure to the cold tap to equal that of the hot tap.

    Bath Movement

Guest 1...ideally it would be best to remove the bath and refit by fixing a 2x1 batten to the wall to support the whole length of the bath along the wall,(the bath edge would sit onto this batten;thats how i fit all baths) then before fixing the bath in place run a thick line of proper silicone...
