    Screeding over tiles

I'm asking the same question under a different heading as it was suggested to me to open up the topic under the heading "screeding over ceramic tiles." It was suggested that perhaps tile layers and masonry people would know of an overlay product.

    Screeding over tiles

Okay anybody who knows anything about painting over ceramic tiles please help. I have an entrance way full of ugly orange ceramic tiles that I really want to go away. Replacing them is messy and they are all in perfect shape. (Of course they are. The ugly ones never seen to chip or crack.)...

Applying paint to a ceramic tile floor

I have no idea how it works yet as I am not able to buy the product unless I become an installer. It's about $ 14.00 per square foot to have it installed so I think I will be nixing the idea. Way too expensive so I think we will just replace the tiles. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Applying paint to a ceramic tile floor

Thanks again for your help. I have found a product called flex-c-ment. It's a flexible cement product that goes right over top of the existing tile. It's a bit pricey but it will avoid the mess at least. The colours will give me the faux finish that I am looking for so I think that might be...

Applying paint to a ceramic tile floor

Thank you so much for your help. Yes we have those products over here. I am an interior designer but not a tile refinisher. I think I will check with the local paint stores and see if they have a product that they recommend. I was hoping there was someone who had actually done it and had any...

Applying paint to a ceramic tile floor

Sorry. I guess that's sort of important. Ha Ha! The tiles are made of ceramic and they have a high gloss sheen to them. I hope that helps. Thank you.

Applying paint to a ceramic tile floor

I have a very ugly tile floor in the entrance way of my home. It's in great shape and because it is so ugly it will last forever. I'd like to try to paint these. I plan to tape the grout lines, sand the tile, apply primer, and then do a faux finish in the colours that I like. My question...
