3 Extra Rads after Loft Conversion. Bigger Pump Needed?

Hi, just had a loft conversion completed with 3 new rads installed (2 rads and 1 towel rad) The Rads are about 1.2m long by 500mm high. Its a system with a header tank and the rads are bleeding through fine so I believe the tank is high enough. The rads dont get as hot as the others in the...

Connecting into a 3 inch soil pipe? Is there a fitting?

Thats exactly what mine is like. All 4 inch then with a 3 inch vent above the last toilet going up to the roof. Was hoping that I could connect into this 3 inch pipe higher up, rather than running a sink/bath drain all the way down the void to the 4 inch section. Any problems with that...

Connecting into a 3 inch soil pipe? Is there a fitting?

Does anyone know where I can get fitting to connect into an existing 3 inch soil pipe? I have seen the flange type ones for 4 inch where you drill the hole and then bolt it around. Where can I get a 3 inch version? I think its a strap boss? Thanks,

    Fire doors and intumesant strips

Just finishing a loft conversion where the new regs mean I have to fit fire doors to all habitable rooms in the house. Never done one before but from looking about it would seem sensible to fit the stripping to the door itself before fitting rather than trying to get it into the existing...

Solution for stopping the noise of a tank filling

Ahh Cool. I was thinking that would work but wanted to check if there was any reasons to not use that method. I assume there is no way that having the supply below the water line with a pipe can cause any contamination problems in the tank as the water will no doubt be more still? Thanks,

Solution for stopping the noise of a tank filling

Hi, is there anything out there to stop the dripping noise when the cold water tank is filling. What I mean is there any device that means the water fills from a few inches below the water surface? Like a simple tube or pipe to take the feed under the surface? Could I just fit a piece of...

Hi, my Hotpoint Aquarius Washer/Dryer has been working fine but just started to not dry clothes. They come out soaking wet and steaming!!!! Any ideas? I recently dried a particularly fluffy blanket? Are there any filters I can clean out inside or any areas to look for build up of fluff, if...
