    only trouble ive had with these are fans, pcbs, pilot injector and aps. but i must say parts seem to be getting dearer for them. imo if its gunna cost say £300 to fix and someone would fit you a baxi solo a rated boiler for £1000 with a 2 yr gtee its a no brainer.

    I cant seal/insulate the loft hatch as its a drop down one with ladders attached. Shall i just plasterboard it, ive got some 8x2 sheets down on floor but not all of it.

    hi guys the depth of rafters is 70mm ive sourced some celotex at 70mm thick. then use handy boards i think to cover and tape joints.

    hi bud the stuff on the floor is minimum, i was thinking about the ceiling rafters, insulating between them then plasterboarding over. ive got a big drop down loft hatch with ladders on so its letting a draft down to the main house.

    Since having a new roof fitted with breathable felt the loft seems a lot more drafty. Ive been thinking of insulating the roof then plasterboarding it, whats best insulation as not to create condensation, i would fit kingspan but its so expensive, will polystyrene boards do the job.

    Boiler runs for a certain amount of time (5 - 10 mins enough for rads to get warm/hot) then cuts off, blows fuse on board. Ive had this problem on another boiler and it ended up being the gas valve as the coil was overheating and taking fuses out on the boiler. Anyone had this fault on this...

    Hi sparkies/or electricians to the fussy ones :shock: :D Has anyone heard of a box which is situated next to the fuse board which reduces the 240voltage in the house down to 220 voltage. In turn hopefully saving 15-20% in bills. I seen one on DIY SOS but cant find them on the internet...

    Cheers mate, Alpha did mention PCB like. I checked fan venturi etc seemed clear. I would sooner that happened to me i go off altogether easier to find fault :lol:

    baxi solo pfl50 problems

    If i remember rightly this boiler has two metal tubes (going from fan to aps) where at the back of the boiler, these rot and cant be replaced. Parts defunct, hope im wrong mate and its not them tubes.

    Yeah i no where its at, didnt think that would be the cause like but will give it a go. I suppose this could be why the pressure seems to rise high thus being a blockage :idea: :idea: will give it a bash cheers.
