Wiring in induction hob and separate oven

Hi again I notice robotik has deleted their post. I'm not sure why, but can only guess I've installed/interpreted their instruction wrongly. If this is the case, I'm open to learn the best way to wire up these two appliances correctly. Many thanks

Wiring in induction hob and separate oven

Thanks for robotik. Have fitted a duel outlet as you suggested, with 6mm wire from one outlet to the hob and a 2.5 cable from the other outlet to a 13amp plug socket. Wired up the cooker with 2.5 mm cable and put a plug on one end, fused with a 13amp fuse. This way I have avoided 'two fuses'...

Wiring in induction hob and separate oven

Hi and good morning I'm just about to install a single beko oven that needs a 13amp fused spur and an induction hob that requires a hardwired 32amp supply with cooker switch. No problem with the induction hob, as I have a 32 amp dedicated supply already installed. My question is, can I use an...

Smart meter instal with shared fuse

OK, this morning I get a phone call from SSE to arrange an urgent inspection of the neutral block, was given half an hour to attend to let them have access. Smart meter instal with shared fuse

Some of the tenants have applied for smart meters and been installed with no problems the rest just arrange meter readings or arrange access as normal. I hoped to have the smart meter as I'm not in attendance at the house and the meter is never read officially. Basically I now wishing I never...

Smart meter instal with shared fuse

Thank you both for replies. Yes there are 6 meters, everyone is separate. The main fuse head was put in as original for the 6 meters, it's just that the landlords supply/meter tails had been shared with one flat into the main fuse. I requested a smart meter as the meter reader can never get...

Smart meter instal with shared fuse

I have a house conversion into 5 self contained flats, each with their own gas and electric meters. I wanted to put in a smart meter for the landlords electricity supply which has its own meter. This provides stair lighting, emergency lights, door entry system and fire alarm. However, the...

Monsoon Bath Pump - playing up

Blimey, this old thread still going. Glad it was still useful. My pump is still going strong with that same replaced capacitor - touch wood! I guess like most things that are well made like that Stuart pump, they need to build into them a simple fault in order to create revenue on parts/labour. :)

Wiring for wireless smoke alarms to ceiling pendants.

Researching wireless smoke alarm systems. When taking supply from ceiling pendant for each wireless detector, is the correct way to put in a fused spur (unswitched so tenant can't turn it off) then supply detector. Or should you just take supply straight from pendant to detector. You then...

    Chimney Balloon for woodburning stove

As I understood things regarding stoves is that they need ventilation in order to stop 'rusting,' when not in use. Moisture/condensation etc will sit on the metal parts and rust. especially the ash pan and metal collar where flue joins the stove. My little MORSO recommends keeping the...
