    OK - I give in

You win. Goodbye. MOD: That's honestly a shame and when you were able to offer constructive advice, you were / are a genuine asset to the forum. Unfortunately you have a habit of being rude and aggressive to other forum users, yes you're not the only one by any stretch, you are however a...

    He thought everyone knew...?

Will those be the rights which UK fishermen sold to foreign fishermen and which will therefore remain the property of those foreigners even if we do leave the EU?

    Panorama BBC1 10July: Is Labour anti-semitic?

A very long article? A little over 1000 words. Just WT* is wrong with you that you think that is very long? Just how limited is your ability to pay attention to anything? You're another one who is so bad at this that you have no right to be here. Well go and look then. Unles of course...

    Panorama BBC1 10July: Is Labour anti-semitic?

You really are shockingly bad at this, aren't you. And BTW - use of the term "whataboutery" is, 99.999999999999999999999999% of the time, an attempt by the person using it to deflect examination of his own hypocrisy or bias. And there you go again. Once again your staggering incompetence at...

    Panorama BBC1 10July: Is Labour anti-semitic?

Recent polls conducted for Hope Not Hate by YouGov – which has a solid record when looking at party members – is horrifying. It found that 60% of Tory members believe Islam “is generally a threat to western civilisation”, with less than one in five dissenting; that 54% hold it to be “generally...

How many new LED downlighters on old cable

Are you replacing existing ones, or installing them where you don't already have them? If the latter, I would strongly advise against doing this, at least until you have considered all of the things which are bad about them (quite a lot) and what is good about them (precious little), and...

how to fit new light switches onto unidentified cores.

But as for the underlying question - it's the old Plan A/PlanB situation. Robert - you need to either learn how light switches are wired, how lighting circuits work and use a multimeter to identify which conductors are which, or get an electrician. Don't start experimenting with trial...

As per the other box shown, maybe it's connected to the back box. Earthing via the faceplate screws to the box is allowed.

Converting 3 phase to single phase

One can postulate fairly unlikely scenarios. How about changes which resulted in several sockets being removed/moved/added, and cables re-routed and an "Ah - I could use that cable to go to here, and then run a new cable to meet up with that one over there"?

400kW charger - how many of these on a typical local network ?

My car has a "300 mile range". More when cruising sensibly on a free-flowing motorway, less when in urban traffic or when hoofing it around ( ). And a lot less when dragging itself up roads like that - the problem last week was that I'd got about 100-120 miles of realistic range in the...
