    Bordering garden with sleepers.

What are the best sleepers to use in a garden? Which did you use in the photos you posted Thermo? Ive seen they do hardwood and softwood. Is there a difference in life, looks, durability etc?

WHAT SIZE POND PUMP DO I BUY CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEASE HELP

Make sure you dont over feed the fish when you put them in, or you'll get algae growing. Pond owners nightmare, certainly one of my biggest annoyances. UV filter does the job nicely, chame it doesnt work on blanketweed! Pond plants also reduce algae/blanketweed as they fight for the...

    Shed for a gym....

I use a pre-fab garage as a gym, and its only just enough room. Got a treadmill, weight bench and rowing machine, which leaves a bit of room in one corner for free weights. Well..that was how it worked originally. I bought a motorbike since then so now the treadmill doesnt fit lol

    Damage caused by tv fitter

2 in the twin. I tested end to end at the fuse board for earth live and neutral, all are fine, aswell as mega testing. Also did a Earht loop test at the board and it came out to around 5 ohms. I think that youre allowed up to 200 for a TT system, but Domestic (other than the basics) is not...

    Damage caused by tv fitter

Looking at the fuse board :D Confused me because i couldnt find an earth cable other than that coming from the gas pipe, so stuck my head outside and saw the overhead supply. I advised them to get a full inspection and test done because of what i saw here, and they said they dont remember...

    Damage caused by tv fitter

Yeah ive told them to get someone in urgently, as its a TT system, and im not too sure about them. They are using only the main gas pipe as the earth, and im pretty sure there should be a stake too, so they will get someone in during the week. The vertical cable also needs replacing - you can...

    Damage caused by tv fitter

Just read a similar topic back from 2006. The advice seemed to be talk to the fitter, if he doesnt seem very friendly then take it up with his boss. If a dead end again the go to the HSE. Is this still the best route? Did i give bad advice telling them to cancel the cheque, or would you have...

    Glass patio

And make sure you can access all the pond too, for adding plants, trimming plants etc etc. And the same for the filter boxes etc. With the water being under glass, you might want to add a UV filter aswell (based on the fact greenhouses make plants grow quicker..so this would probably do the...

    Glass patio

If water hits it, you are likely to get an algea problem. If you try to make the glass accessible for cleaning though then the patio idea would be great. You might also get condensation problems on the underside of the glass in the summer. Would the glass not be too slippery if its wet?? I...

    Electricians tool belt/jacket

Yeah i went for one very similar. The belts a bit naff, but the tool holder is good. Got a drill holder aswell, but that can be a bit uncomfortable if the drills in it all the time. It does come in very handy for holding a bottle of water, or some tie wraps / pliers etc
