    Surveillance Company

Hmmm, pretty impressed so far. £500.00 fixed fee and they are on the job tomorrow. Still feel awful, but I do have genuine concerns. I figure that at least one way or the other I will know for sure. www.discreetsurveillance.co.uk if anyone is interested. Hope for your sakes you never...

ideal response se will not fire up

The Response se is a condensing Response. A Minimiser heat exchanger with a Honeywell/Grindfoss water set. Code 4-04 is just a generic lockout, the 2nd code that follows is the cause. 9-12 is the low water pressure switch. Concurrent with your comment the boiler loses pressure. Find out...

    Surveillance Company

Hi guys, Random question I know. Would you consider using a surveillance company if you suspected your other half was up to no good? I.E having it off with someone else? Think I am being paranoid, but for the sake of sanity and to find out once and for all I have done it today. A...

    Boiler breakdown Baxi courses

Dartford centre is ok. I did a day with the duotec last year. Bored the living hell out of me. And I upset the trainer for talking cobblers. Apparently onboard fault diagnostics is wasted on anyone other than manufacturer engineers.

Ideal Logic+ 30 - Constant NO WATER FLOW LOCKOUT

Just unscrew the Trv head and leave it off, if the boiler does not lock out then BG need to sort. You cannot have full TRV'S, no bypass and no roomstat. BG MUST install a roomstat, and the radiator adjacent must not have a TRV. It really trashes my mind when BG do this. Total jokers.

Ideal Logic+ 30 - Constant NO WATER FLOW LOCKOUT

Full Trv's? No uncontrolled? Sorry just saw that in your post. Where is your roomstat located? Unscrew the head of the TRV and test.

Ideal Logic+ 30 - Constant NO WATER FLOW LOCKOUT

I presume they commissioned the thing correctly? I would interested in what temperature differential they got on the he4ating flow and returns with the Trv's turned off? Do you have an uncontrolled radiator adjacent to your roomstat? You do have a roomstat? Do me a favour? Take a Trv head...

    Potterton Netaheat 16-22

Most of these have asbestos content, seals worn, positive fanned. Do yourself a favour and start saving for a new boiler. Def. DONT OPEN IT AND MAKE SURE THE ENGINEER TESTS IT BEFORE LEAVING. :-)

    Noisy boiler problem

Ring Ideals, explain to them the problem and ask them to fit a flowswitch to your Dhw side. It is available as an extra and the problem will be solved. (Unless you have a leak somewhere, which I doubt because it will fire every 90secs or so). Hope that helps.

HELP - 3million gallons of water gone through my watermeter!

Easy one to sort. Many utilities are under extreme pressure to reduce their leakage rates by Ofwat. A leak of this size should be of major importance to them. Thames Water and many others are using a bit of kit that attaches to the meter in order to remotely observe any leakages. See...

    DHW light flashing

Flashing dhw led indicates that the thermister is faulty. (Situated on dhw pipe at the bottom rear of the heat exchanger). Might be worth removing it and giving it a good clean. If you need hot water over chtg then just swap the 2 thermisters until you can get it replaced. You have...

Presuming that there is actually pressure in the boiler your wtr pressure switch is blocked. Drain boiler from drain nipple on isolation valve. Remove 3 connections on switch (Turn power off 1st). Unscrew switch clear hole in switch (gently) and also hole on the pipe. Refit. Reattach...

Ideal response 120 boilers - ignition problems

I reckon you have a blocked water pressure switch or stat tripped (bottom of boiler red button) or fuse f4a has blown on pcb 40. Wtr press switch- Check for continuity between pink and brown wire to overheat stat. If no continuity remove switch and clean hole. If fuse f4a has blown...
