    Electric Radiator Repair "Elkatherm"

I recently moved into a house that has three wall mounted electric radiators. They are made my a German company called Elkatherm. They are very simply and just have a temperature knob and a red light to show when the radiator is on. Two of the radiators no longer heat up even though the...

Horstmann HRFS1 Wireless Thermostat Both Red and Green lights Blinking

By the way, ericmark, when my receiver was working I had a similar problem to yours. I suspected that the next door neighbours had the same unit which was causing interference. I changed the frequency that the unit uses by removing a jumper switch on the transmitter and changing the...

Horstmann HRFS1 Wireless Thermostat Both Red and Green lights Blinking

I have a Hortsman HRFS1 wireless thermostat. It's worked fine for five years but suddenly it seems to have developed an error. The red light(power) and green light (connection) on the receiver unit start blinking together and I can hear a faint clicking noise from the receiver whenever the...

My thermostat shows the wrong temperature.

Thanks for you replies. The thermostat is not mounted to a wall and gets moved around. I've used a thermometer alongside and I reckon the thermostat reads the room temperature as 3 degrees lower than what it actually is. This is really strange....

My thermostat shows the wrong temperature.

Hi there, I have a Horstman HrFS1 wireless thermostat that is now about 4 years old. 'Sealing a screw'

Thanks for your reply. THere is no door involved but 2 pieces of a wood (a child's toy). I think the loctite thread flu will do the trick.

    'Sealing a screw'

I have a female hand knob that I have screwed onto an M6 screw. For security reasons I don't want anyone to be able to unscrew the hand knob and take it away. Is there a way of 'corrupting the thread' on the screw to stop anyone unscrewing the hand knob once I have screwed it on? Thanks...

    Type of nut.

Hi there, I'm looking for a type of nut and I have no idea what it is called although I'm sure something like this must exist. Is there a nut like a 'sex nut' (female) but with a threaded hole that runs all the way through the entire nut so I can screw an M6 bolt right through so the nut is...
