Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

Just thought I would update/comclude this. I tried Huws Gray as suggested, and strangely as I was there they had a pallet delivered. These were the right height but too narrow! They were only 125mm wide which is bizarre as all the others are 140mm. So that was close. But, I popped into my local...

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

Well I tried Wickes but just too big unfortunately. Anyone have any other ideas where I can buy coping stones from please. Thanks.

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

According to the website, my local one has stock and judging by the pic they seem close (straight edges as opposed to rounded off) so here's hoping! Hopefully they will be slightly under size and will be close enough. Every time I buy timber it comes in under size, can't help but think that...

Thanks! I'll take a look. Tried Travis Perkins, Jewsons, B&Q, all no joy.

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

According to the website they don't seem to have any stock in numerous stores? Any idea of any other places please. Never thought it would be so difficult to buy single width coping stones.

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

Thanks for the reply. Any idea where I can buy the 50mm ones then and I'll see if they are close enough.

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

Thank you, I have just looked on the website but their coping stones are higher. The search continues! But they have a branch near me so I think I'll pop in though.

Coping Stones - Where To Buy?

Hi, does anyone know where I can get coping stones similar to the picture please. So far I've tried Travis Perkins, Jewsons and B&Q. Sizes are 140mm width, apex height 40mm, side height 22mm. Length not important. Thanks.

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

I see, thanks for the explanation. I was thinking they may not be repairable or something. As I have a British Gas service contract, they would hopefully fix a boiler with this kind of issue, as they are obliged to as long as parts are available.

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Thanks, I am really hoping so! I got that fed up with the service guys constantly telling me I'd save loads with a new boiler, that I'd now like to see that they are right.

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Aren't these still current models/parts? How come you are not fixing them instead?

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Aside from the front panel LED's no longer working, and the pressure gauge not registering properly, my old Worcester 240 was working great, and that was with 11 radiators, the boiler was even moved once when an extension was built (3 more rads added), and has performed great throughout. The...

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Thanks for the replies. Well, the Vaillant has been installed now, took a while, 2 days plus a third (couple of hours) for the survey. Very quiet which is nice. Seems ok, but things are so finicky, complicated and overly tech these days, I just can't imagine it lasting for 30 years as the...

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Just to conclude this, Vaillant wins. Researching on the net, as well as the many posts on here on the subject, proves that there are frequent gripes about Worcester these days, such as that they are noisy, have plastic/aluminium parts. Yet it is a struggle to find a Vaillant criticism, amd...

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Thank you for replies. Yes I did realise I would receive differing opinions. However, I respect the views of you guys on here so much that I welcome any thoughts. Just to be clear, existing pipework has a 15mm segment of several metres (with 22mm at either end), and existing boiler is 24kw...

New Boiler - Vaillant Pro 28 Or Bosch

Hi, I have had a new boiler survey/quote today to replace my 30 year old Worcester 240. As the Worcester has been so good for all that time I had the mindset to get another. However, the guy has recommended and priced up for a Vaillant Pro 28. Two reasons for this - the exisiting pipwork is...

    Surface Mounted Fused Spur

Another great suggestion, thank you. What a great forum and fantastic help, I have been given three very viable solutions. Superb .

    Surface Mounted Fused Spur

Thank you both for your replies, I appreciate it. The wall is tiled (the fused spur is for an under cabinet light, the double socket is just underneath so easy location to take a feed from) so anything sunken is not an option really. Both ideas sound good, neat trick with the extra long screws...

    Surface Mounted Fused Spur

Hi, I wish to take a surface mounted fused spur (and therefore surface mounted cabling) from a sunken double mains socket. Is there an acceptable way to do this please? Thank you.
