The hansgrohe mixer is 20 years old and I don't even know the model, so I know it's optimistic to expect to find the thermostatic cartridge, but I thought I would ask here on the offchance that someone could advise. I believe that the alternative is very involved work, with broken tiles etc...
Thank you. Didn't realise until now, but the bath taps work just fine. So the boiler is ok. It's probably the mixer, which I hear is an involved job. Is there a way to find the right plumber for the job? I guess I should look for someone who advertises themselves as a bathroom installer...
Lately I have been having problems with my Boiler (PulsaCoil ECO from 2019). We tried everything from replacing elements and sensors, repressuring etc...
Basically, there is never enough hot water for a shower. In 5 minutes, the water runs cold.
Despite cold water in the shower, there is still...
@ John: Sorry, didn't realise you were waiting for more info. I will check for gutters and revert shortly.
Basically, we had the flat professionally redecorated in November, and also 6 months before that.
Since November, it's been DIY cleaning. Yet the mold has spread over the whole wall. I...
The Bin shed door typically remains closed. Also, the managing agents have advised that the bin shed regularly has mold issues, and is not heated or insulated in anyway...so I guess the room has not been treated an an outdoor space. Can you tell me what would need to be done for that party wall...
Thank you so much for your responses.
So basically, mine is flat 003, in the pic. And next to it is the bin shed. I am worried that insulation, might make things worse, if there is already mold embedded in the wall - since it has already made it way right across to the other side....
I don't...
My living room wall gets terribly moldy. It is a shared wall, the other side of it being for the communal bin sheds.
The managing agents have admitted that the bin shed wall, which is not heated or insulated in any way, had a constant issue annually with moisture problems.
The managing agents...
I have a house that I have been renting out to sharer's. One of the rooms is 6.32 m2. Too small to be rented out by 0.2m2.
I was hoping that replacing the plasterboard with a thinner plasterboard might do the trick, but honestly, there is still not much space. It was already optimally used. Can...
One of the drawer fronts came off and got lost. I can't find the exact match to replace it...but it's making the whole kitchen look unsightly.
Any recs on what I can do? Ideally, I would like a company that can color match..
Thanks in advance.
I was browsing the councils website and decided to check for the planning documents for the new house my sister purchasing. Shockingly, there has been no planning application for the attic conversion (a big conversion with a left attic and a right attic) and whilst consent was sought for the...
7 years ago we found out that a leak from the ground floor shower had seeped under the floorboards to drenched the wooden beams? (battons?) etc not only of the shower room but the adjoining bedroom. It was a lot of work taking up the flooring of both the rooms.... reinstalling plastic sheeting...
