Hmm, I see what you mean, I'm thinking more & more it's still the PCB too. It looks pretty genuine from the box. It has "Glow-worm, awb, pro-therm, Bongioanni Genuine factory replacement parts" all over it. I suppose there could be something else wrong which has Kn%$£ked up the replacement board...

Just re-read your post, do you mean if the boiler "thinks" the pilot is lit before it starts, it won't fire up?

The pilot light is not lit. It normally only lights when leds 3 & 4 on the pcb are on. The boiler isn't getting anywhere near to trying to light the pilot light it's just turning the flue fan on & off. I tried reversing the wiring to the fan and it still did the same either way round. I haven't...

Gasgeezer. Sorry I don't understand. The boiler won't fire up in the first place. All that happens is the flue fan keeps going on & off for about 1 second each time. The pilot should light when the 3 rd led lights but only 1 & 2 are lighting, which according to the manual mean there's a problem...

Do you mean the pilot light itself? There isn't a permanent pilot. Normally the fan starts & then you hear the starter clicking & the pilot lights, then the main jet comes on.

I think you're on the right track. With a flying lead on the fan the 3rd & 4th leds came on & boiler fired up!

Thanks for the advise, looks like I might have to bite the bullet & "get a man in". Going for some hot soup now, finding it hard to type. If anyone else has any idea's, I'd be grateful.

When NO disconnected fan still cycles on/off. APS looks okay with diag Red to C, Yellow-NC, Black to NO. I also took note when I removed old one.

Front cover is off. The 240v seems to disappear from terminal C on APS when APS clicks..... Almost like when it switches over to terminal NO something turns off the feed to C.....

Juat changed fan again (Luckily they sent a spare years ago when original started to hum, Fan lovely & clean & new looking) no change. I can hear the APS clicking & can see the voltmeter needle flicker on NO terminal of APS. It seems as though not enough air coming down red tube to switch it...
