If memory serves me right i think they had a problem with the seals in the diverter valve causing noise when shutting off. Then again i might be wrong ,memeory aint what it used to be. Paul :)

Make sure after relighting pilot that the knob comes all the way back.Sometimes they stick.You get all the "clicks "but the boiler doesn`t fire. If ok then possibly faulty dhw limit stat top rhs of heat excahnger. Paul :)

Talk to the technical dept. of the boiler manufacturer.They should be better able to help you. PAUL :)

You would be seen as a competitor of bg`s if you did work in your own time even if you used your own car,tools etc. What company in their right mind would employ a competitor? Seems commonsense approach by bg if you ask me . paul

Has your boiler been range rated to the correct value since you only have a tiny flat? It`s easy to do and will be found in MI page 35 sec.5.11 Paul

Don`t be surprised if they offer you a new boiler.Parts no longer available etc. My opinion as a landlord and an RGI is rip it out and get new system fitted. You will never have to worry about tenants getting CO poisoning and you will be able to claim your expediture against your tax bill...
