I have now replaced the deverter valve which was very stiff and had been leaking a small ammount into where the actuator is. The new DV motor does not move. It seems to stay in the mid position and I have exactly the same fault. Do I now need to look at replacing the PCB? Thanks.

As the itle says, my 3 year old Ecotec 831 boiler is heating the radiators when I turn on the hot water. I never noticed this in winter, but now the CH is off, the Rad's still get hot whenever I have a shower or use the hot water for a while. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks.

A word of warning: Recharging old lead/ acid batteries is very dangerous. They produce a nice mix of hydrogen and oxygen which can explode very easily (I have seen it done) and bits of battery and acid go everywhere. Always leave the battery outside when charging and switch the charger on/ off...

I am installing a a new boiler and the CORGI guy who will comission it, wants me to run the gas pipe too. He will solder joints, but I have to do the rest of the pipe work. Are there any rules about securing 22mm copper gas pipes. i.e type of clips to use, spacing of clips etc. Thanks.

Try and find an automatic transmission specialist. Sounds like the gearbox needs some serious repairs. As the gearbox is mechanical only, the computer will not know if it has gone wrong.
