Integrated fridge & freezer as support for worktop?

Thank you very much for the advice. I think I'll go with the end panel, because there isn't very much space available at the end of the worktop - there's no real overhang. If I bracket the panel in strongly, that should help to stop it going anywhere. Cheers Reece

Fixing a pedestal sink to wall, where 1 rawplug seems loose

you'll need one of those guns to work the cavity fixing - otherwise it'll just spin round and around and tear you a bigger hole in your plasterboard. /been there

Integrated fridge & freezer as support for worktop?

Hi, I was hoping someone could advise on my kitchen project - I'm finishing building a kitchen with a 240cm x 4cm hardwood worktop that's supported at the back and the left side by the battens on the wall, and at the 60-120cm from the left by an Ikea base unit. At 120-240cm I only have an...

    Floor drain plumbing

That would be a great idea, but I've got a very large bath with maybe 80cm between the overflow and the waste hole. So I wouldn't be able to get a standard overflow and waste unit on it. Is there somewhere to get larger ones? About a floor drain - I was going to make it with a shower drain...

    Floor drain plumbing

Hi, I'm planning to do the plumbing on a new bathroom I'm building on suspended wooden floors. The bath is non-standard size and I'm looking to put in a separately-plumbed bath plug-hole, overflow and a shower drain. I'm okay with the water going in, but need some advice for waste water. So...

Upgrading a domestic power supply - any ideas?

And forgot to say, would plan to set up unvented system to run at night on economy 7 in order to mitigate the ridiculous electricity costs. Only need it for hot water, not for heating the place. Some of those ridiculously ugly storage heaters might be required for that.

Upgrading a domestic power supply - any ideas?

Thanks very much for the ideas. I guess what could make sense in terms of space is getting a 120L unvented cylinder on wall brackets at the top of a 10-foot cupboard space. That would still leave 6-ish feet of space below for a fridge or other utility room things. The current situation in the...

Upgrading a domestic power supply - any ideas?

Adam_151, you make very good points about the US equipment. I hadn't thought of those, and I can see why it'd be quite a risk buying something with randomly different sizes and standards. I hadn't realised that the Zip Instant heaters were actually quite similar - with different but equally...

Upgrading a domestic power supply - any ideas?

Thanks. Since I'm looking for something that can run a bath or a power shower, which takes about 12L/min and runs at at least 18kW, the only instantaneous ones I can see require 3-phase power at 400V. Am I right in thinking I couldn't get 3-phase since there'd be step-down in the block of...

Upgrading a domestic power supply - any ideas?

Hi all, can anyone lend me a bit of advice that I've turned the internet upside down to get? My wife and I have just moved into a very small flat in an old building, and we're planning on getting a decent and small water heater in. We've only got electricity (no gas) and space is at an...
