    Alpha cb24

May well just require new DHW thermistor but probably requires a new diaphragm in the diverter valve. Buy the genuine one as although expensive comes with all the fibre washers & seals. Can be a right pain with leaks so replace all the washers you remove!

You probably need to decide between an unvented cylinder and heat only/system boiler or a combi boiler. Either way you can lose the tanks.

noisy boiler sounds like it will explode

If it sounds like a plane landing it usually means the heat exchanger has debris in it or is partially blocked This may be a piece of fibre washer dislodged when you changed the dv. Probably needs taking off and cleaning but you need RGI to do this. If you're lucky it may just be some air...

noisy boiler sounds like it will explode

If the boiler is functioning correctly in Hw and CH you can probably rule out the diverter unless you have left a bit of fibre washer in the system and its stuck in the heat exchanger. Does it sound like a plane landing? Could alternatively be a host of other things like a noisy or failing...

Most boilers have a drain valve fitted. You may also have one on your heating system. If not try opening the vent/bleed valve on a radiator and let some water out into a bucket.
