    miele G977 fault

Hello My dishwasher (approx. 7 years old) is busted. It is making a strange draining noise constantly when switched on and a couple of mins later the inlet drain light flashes. According to Zipper's earlier forum diagnostic routine - the start light comes on at 7 o'oclock if that means anything...

roofers installed vented soffit - building regs no likey

just been reading the housebuilders bible (not that I am buiding a house). But the whole theory behind roof ventilation seems to be just that. There doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rules to stop condensation building up. I'm trying to workout if the warm roof space I now (or will have once...

roofers installed vented soffit - building regs no likey

so does it sound right to you guys - no ventilation ? So the moisture is supposed to go through celotex and then the felt membrane only by the build up of pressure it creates up there itself and that's the only way it gets out ? doesn't sound right to me, but that's why I'm on here .. thanks again.

roofers installed vented soffit - building regs no likey

Thanks. Yes I meant rafters. The main reason for putting the celotex in between the rafters was because of draughts in the house and to make it more useable up there. Just spoke to principal building regs guy - solution is to cover over soffit vents with plastic strip and not to ventilate the...

roofers installed vented soffit - building regs no likey

Thanks. Had the roofed stripped, celutex put in between the rafters, breathable felt over then re-tiled. They said the airflow is incorrect with vented soffits insitu and they need to be taken out before approval is given. No vents required at all due to breathable felt. Regs involved...

roofers installed vented soffit - building regs no likey

Hello Just had building regs round to look at my re-tiled, re-soffited and re-fascia'd roof. The soffit and fascia has been installed and the soffit is vented. Building regs say this is incorrect and it should not have been vented. Now what do I do ? Big job to get it removed. Is there...

Hello Should clay bonnet tiles be bedded in as you go ? My roofer is currently nailing them down without bedding them in. I guess he is intending to bed them in once they are all nailed down. Thanks Dave

New Soffits and Facias. What should I be getting quoted for?

Hello Graham I am having mine done right now. I am getting eave protectors put in but no bird combs as I have flat tiles. Sometimes the gutters break when they are being taken off and some tiles may also be broken in the process. There is of course scaffolding to think of as well. There is also...

untidy gap where soffit meets wall

Hello The soffit and fascia on the house I moved into 4 years ago had thick paint sprayed all over it. The people who painted the pebble dashed walls advised the owner at the time that it would be a good idea to do it as it would stop the wood from rotting. Anyway, I am having the soffits and...
