don,t know if this is the write page but i,m want to fit a new dbl rad where there is only a single one is there a easy way of extending the pipes new rad is an extra 50mm off the wall i dont want a plumber ripping me off is it just a case of draining the system then cutting the pipe and...

sorry for not replying sooner a gather hood sits on top of the fire back and sealed with vermiculite and cement then the linner is connected to that and sealed

solid fuel liner 904/316 grade and fitted in 2009 so can i just out the exit from the log burner into it :)

thinking of fitting a wood burner into my open fire opening do i need to remove the fire back or will the exit pipe go straight up the chimney ??

yes worried about damp coming through the wall being single block i know damp won,t rise through the dpc should i just black jack out side and render ?

want to build a porch can i build the dwarf wall single skinned how do i do the dpc and keep damp from coming through

going to fit a chimney liner myself have total confidence in doing it but just wondered if there are any tips to be shared the only thing im not 100% on is using vermiculite to seal the gather hood (wot mixture do i need ?? ) above the fire back :idea: :idea:

basicaly capped off two disused pots lit fire smoke entered up stairs rooms through brest took caps off and smoke came out so its leaking through brickwork/mortar takes bout 15 mins to enter rooms

I need to put some c caps on my disused chimney pots to stop down draught is there a shop where i can buy them or do i have to order off the net (delivery charge exspensive :evil: ) i,ve tried all the builders merchants with no luck i live in derby.
