    sorry for not replying sooner a gather hood sits on top of the fire back and sealed with vermiculite and cement then the linner is connected to that and sealed

    going to fit a chimney liner myself have total confidence in doing it but just wondered if there are any tips to be shared the only thing im not 100% on is using vermiculite to seal the gather hood (wot mixture do i need ?? ) above the fire back :idea: :idea:

    basicaly capped off two disused pots lit fire smoke entered up stairs rooms through brest took caps off and smoke came out so its leaking through brickwork/mortar takes bout 15 mins to enter rooms

    I need to put some c caps on my disused chimney pots to stop down draught is there a shop where i can buy them or do i have to order off the net (delivery charge exspensive :evil: ) i,ve tried all the builders merchants with no luck i live in derby.
