    Surely the test inventory is down to the duty holder, if i was told not to test an item , I made sure it was noted on the report. It was a good day when my tester went pop and ended up in the skip

    Indeed, I used to test a couple of factories, lots of presses, sewing machines, "test everything" was the remit, apart from the telephone switchboard...

    PAT is a misleading term, from memory it should be "In service equipment", meaning everything hard wired or plugged in

    I stayed on a small caravan set owned by an "electrician", around the bin area he had installed security lights using ordinary indoor JBs instead of outdoor waterproof , each one a had little wooden shelter built around it
