I`ve thought about that, but was n`t sure it would be strong enough to hold it. It`s the only toilet in the house and with 4 people living here someone would surely want the toilet before the silicon went off
Hope fully one of you kind gentlemen have had this very problem and can help me out here.
I had to take the Toilet pan out to replace the pan connector that had developed a leak. The first problem was the screws that fasten the pan to the tiled concrete floor would not budge, so much so that...
Get the Water company out, tell them you suspect there`s a leak and they`ll come and listen to the pipes with a listening stick, if the council still own the property then they are legally bound to have that leak fixed, the water company will issue a notice for them to fix it, however most water...
Right the another question, I`ve raked the joints out with a mortar raking disc in the angle grinder, al exept the damp course level which appears to be slate, I`m a bit wary of charging in with the disc in case I damage the slate, any suggestions?
I`m looking for a dishwasher thats around 1.5cm lower than the standard 85cm height, can anyone recommend one, thats if there is any that are slightly lower than standard height

Just had a first attempt at a bit of pointing, it`s not as easy as it looks is it?
Anyway I took a picture of what I`d done and I thought I`d post it on here and see what you experts think
You don`t paint it, the colour is in the concrete, jetwash the area, let it dry and then use a sweeping brush to apply the sealer, it`ll come up like new

And secondly would adding a little PVA to the mix be beneficial, to help the mortar bond?
So a good blob of mortar would be ok in there then? Should I use silicone to seal the inside of the door frame as well, or will builders caulk suffice?
I`ve been getting a damp patch inside my front door on the wall, on closer inspection I discovered a hole in the mortar between the brickwork on the outside of the door frame, i suspect I`m getting water ingress through the hole. i can stick a small screwdriver in the hole and it appears to go...
