06 Fiesta 1.4 TDCI Drive Shaft Oil Seal

Hi All

Has anyone ever tackled a driveshaft oil seal on a fiesta 2006?

If so any special tools required, what should I expect and how long does this job take?

I would doubt that there would be special tools as its just a case of removing driveshaft out of the way. normally loosen drive shaft nut, disconnect ball joint,pull steering to full lock and driveshaft should pull out. all in all about 2 hours if your not in the trade. hope this helps?

Once the driveshaft is out, the seal can be plucked away with a broad blade screwdriver or similar. Prepare for gear oil leakage, naturally.

Some of those seals can be a devil to get back in without damaging them.

Take your time, you'll save a fortune regardless
