sometimes i wonder if the reason for the housing is not being built enough,other than planning permission,and green belt is to keep the house prices up. as thats the only reason i can see.
there are plenty of brown filled sites,in citys,towns,to build housing.

Not that it will suit your non-argument, but wouldn't you have said that with mass immigration, the minimum wage was more about placating the indigenous population's understandable concerns over open-door immigration? It's these people, especially low-skilled, low-earners who have more to lose than those further up the food chain.

It could be argued that the minimum wage, and now the living wage, make this country more appealing to those who come from overseas. The skivers I know simply do not want to work. Not that the living wage is not a good thing, I am happy to pay a little more for goods so that low earners can do a bit better.
