1999 1.9D Renault Kangoo fault

Hi all, after some more advice. When I turn the ignition on, the digital display states "OIL" along with a pic of what looks to be a thermometer, or something. Any ideas what this could be, as the oil level seems fine. Many thanks

Probably the automatic dipstick sensor playing up, I think.
I personally wouldn't worry about it if the level is ok, but it could be worth mentioning it to Renault next time you pass a garage.

A row of squares above the word 'oil' indicates the oil level. IIRC later models only display the level if you press the trip meter button when the display shows 'oil'.

sounds like a dodgy oil temp switch to me, it maybe encorperated into the pressure switch wouldn`t worry about it too much,
