Hi everyone, I've just had a Worcester 28i Junior Boiler installed and have been given a brand new Salus EP200 2 channel programmer from a friend who bought it by mistake.

The 2 wiring diagrams don't match up in n obvious way, I was wondering whether the programmer is compatible with the boiler and, if so, how I make the connections. Obviously I don't need the hot water functionality.

I've attached the 2 wiring diagrams to help explain.

Many thanks.

That programmer can be used - connect boiler terminal Lr to programmer terminal 4. The other wiring is the same as shown on the boiler diagram.

However the EP200 is just a timer, so all you can do is switch the boiler on/off at various times. It is NOT a thermostat, so if you insist on using it you will either need to buy a separate thermostat and wire it in series with the programmer output, or enjoy huge gas bills while your house is heated to ridiculous temperatures.

The real answer is to buy a programmable thermostat and sell the EP200 on ebay.

Great, thanks for the info - I'd just assumed it was a thermostat as well. I'll sell it on ebay and buy something more suitable.

Cheers.
