Any suggestions please, I've extended my conservatory and partitioning the old doorway but want to allow natural light in through the upper half, glass blocks are not cheap, I don't want it looking like a 60's serving hatch either, no offence to anyone with a 60's serving hatch :D .
Any suggestions please..

Stained glass panel ? Or a patterned glass panel or maybe something like a Flemish glass with shelving to one side and a few coloured glass ornaments.
I've got a doorway that's going to be unwanted after the kitchen is finished and I'm going down the serving hatch route but in timber rather than glass , but no offence taken :D

Thanks folks, I've now decided to go for Flemish style glass blocks. We were worried if I simply boarded the old doorway it would make the kitchen too dark.
