when you have checked the wiring and if thats okay, then try the device away from the door and manually take the magnet to the device and see how it behaves.

Hi Guy's final update,
Sorted out the Magnetic Contact on Garage Door was in fact a simple wiring fault on my part thank god lol, got it wired the wrong way so changed the wires around and now all is well. Thanks for all the advice couldn't have done this job without the help from this forum.
