I wish to add an additional radiator to my central heating system.

The system runs off a balanced flue Baxi 552 and is not a combi or pressurised system.

I was looking for advice on where to connect the radiator into the system.

Unfortunately I cannot get access to the area where the manifolds are due to the previous owner laying laminate flooring that I am loathed to disturb. I can get easy access to the flow & return pipework near the boiler but was just concerned that if I tee in there I may cause flow problems as the pipework run would be approx 7 or 8 metres.

The extra radiator is a 1600x600 singe panel convector.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to T in after any zone valve, usually after the airing cupboard.

The flow and return off the boiler, assuming it is fully pumped is NOT the place to tee it in.

Safest way is to branch off from pipes coming directly of a rad, they MUST BE on from different sides of the rad
