Can sand be added to any cement based self levelling compound? I'm using durabond professional floor leveller- 6mm max depth. I was wondering if sand could be mixed with this product for deeper fills?

6mm depth is a lot for a DIY'er, esp. if you have a large area - perhaps do it by first priming and then in layers.
Many SLC's can be bulked up with sand but you should look at the instructions or call the Mfr.

It can yes. Grit sand. But call still only go so thick. Depends what screed you have.
You can use TA level flex to 50mm. As has fibres in it.

levelflex is only about £15 a bag or else flexi level which is about the same for a 25kg bag
