Hi, I am wanting to replace two patio doors in our house with new doors!

I was planning on buying a couple of sets from Wicks but the standard door heights seem to have increased, standard door openings seem to be 2100mm high ours is only 2075mm high, so I have two options purchase made to measure which will increase the cost of two doors by about £350.
The other option is to make the opening taller by cutting 25mm of the bricks under the sill, but that would involve cutting through the DPC!

Would cutting through the DPC be ok if I then painted it with bitumen paint, or is there a better way of reinstating the integrity of the DPC or should I not be cutting it at all ?

Any help & advice would be much appreciated.
