Hi to Everyone,
You can have a coin meter fitted to your electricity supply input so as people don't go mad and run up a huge electricity bill BUT is there a corresponding device which a landlord could fit to control the heating oil??

Thanks in advance

No, but you can get oil meters if you want to bill your tenants per unit of oil used. Other than that, if they're long-term tenants, just have an agreement that they are responsible for filling the tank when it runs out - that'll soon focus their minds

It all depends on what the Tenancy Agreement says. Normally the tenant is responsible for paying for gas/oil, electricity, water, sewerage, phone/internet and council tax.

I had to fit a timed room thermostat in a locked box for this Jewish landlord from Bagdad.

But within three days the Moroccan tenant who worked in a kebab shop had managed to short out the thermostat connections in the boiler to give him 24 hour heating.

What is this idiot on about?
What has the faith and country of birth of a landlord got to do with the occupation of a person born in Morocco
got to do with electric bills?

The mind boggles!

Maybe he thinks all Jews are tight and all Moroccans are crooks?
